Landmannalaugar
Full day · Year-round, conditions permitting
Rhyolite mountains streaked in orange, ochre and green, a dark lava field and a natural hot spring to bathe in. In winter, the colours glow through the snow.
Kerlingarfjöll

A highland mountain range of colourful peaks and steaming geothermal valleys, set between the Langjökull and Hofsjökull ice caps.

The vehicle
A modified Toyota Land Cruiser built for Icelandic terrain: raised and widened on 42" tyres, with a snorkel for river crossings and extra lights for the dark winter months.

How many guests can join a private tour?
Tours are for 1 to 3 guests. Every tour is private, so it is only ever your group on board.
How long is a tour?
Anything from half a day to a multi-day journey. Tell us how much time you have and we will shape the route around it.
Where do you pick us up?
Wherever suits you – your hotel, the airport or anywhere else in Iceland. Just let us know your location when you send your enquiry.
Can we decide where we go?
Yes. We plan the route together with you, based on what you would like to see, the season and the conditions on the day.
Do you run tours in winter?
Yes, we run tours all year round. Iceland's weather and road conditions change quickly, so we may adjust the route on the day to keep the journey safe and enjoyable.
What should we wear?
Warm layers, a waterproof jacket and sturdy shoes. In winter, bring a hat and gloves as well. We'll let you know if your route needs anything more.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. If weather makes travel unsafe, we will offer you a new date.
Who can lease the vehicle?
Only established, licensed tour operators. Your drivers need proven experience driving modified super jeeps, including river crossings and highland roads.
